Furness College Wine Club Welcome to the Furness College Wine Club home page. The Club holds occasional tastings and provides a forum for those in the college with vinous interests to exchange information. Members of the College can join the club by paying £5.00 to the College Secretary.
Members of the Wine Club may order wines from the College cellar (at bargain prices). These may be ordered across the bar, while the licensee or assistant licensee are present. Alternatively, give Bev Whitaker in the College office the wine number and the number of bottles you require in the morning, they will be retrieved from the cellar at lunchtime and you can collect the wine from the College office in the afternoon.
It is hoped that at least one tasting will be held in each term, plus one in the Summer vacation. Here are some reports on some past tastings:

list is very strong on Old World fine wines but Australia is also well represented.
Definitely a place to consider for a bottle for a special occasion. There is also a wine
pronunciation guide, a facility for selecting wines according to their style, region and
price & an interactive vintage chart.Return to Furness College Links Page
